Mailman-based mailing lists at CSE

CSE runs a mailman system, available at http://lists.cse.unsw.edu.au/, some additional internal documentation is here (systems related).

Mailman lists are different from MlAlias lists in that people without CSE accounts can subscribe and unsubscribe. They also have built in archiving features.

Mailman lists will be created for users with special needs relating to their CSE research or teaching activities. Requests for creation of a list should be sent to SS.

Using the mailman lists

For a regular list available via http://lists.cse.unsw.edu.au/, people can subscribe by either emailing: listname-subscribe@lists.cse.unsw.edu.au, or by visiting the web interface at http://lists.cse.unsw.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/listname. Similarly for unsubscribing.

Notes on Administering a mailman list
