Accessing DVDs on the CSE Mirror

Unfortunately, due to limitations in the Apache webserver, you cannot access files larger than 2GB through it.

If you are looking at the CSE mirror with the http:// protocol, you will notice that DVDs appear only a few hundred megabytes in size, rather than gigabytes. The images are not faulty, just the web server.

The solution is to use a different protocol, e.g. ftp, and a client that supports large files (e.g. lftp for linux, or Coreftp for Windows).

Find the URL for your DVD, change the http:// to ftp:// and see if that does the job.
