How To Accept Credit Card Payments
Research groups at CSE occasionally want to run conferences and wish to accept Credit Card payments for subscription fees.You can use our web server to host your conference website however presently CSE does not have any facilities for managing payments.
External Organisations Providing Credit Card Payment Facilites
There are many organisations providing payment facilities of which Paypal is perhaps the most famous.If you work with NICTA, they can process credit card payments.
UNSW Treasury
The UNSW Treasury also manages credit card payments and could potentially manage them for you. This would have the advantage of depositing the funds directly into your UNSW funding account which makes the finance side of this much simpler.The procedure for setting up such a UNSW service isn't well established so we do not know how long it would take.
First send FIPRAS at CSE an email with this information:
- type of conference
- dates
- likely number of people
- costs
- which fund should receive the payments
- if there will be early bird payments
- any special requirements, etc.
There is a method for reporting to you what payments the Treasury processed but we do not yet know the details for this. The Treasury should tell you more about this when they set up a service.
