Burning Software on Lab Machines
On CSE lab machines there is a commandpriv cdrom burn
which can be run to burn any software on our software mirror. https://mirror.cse.unsw.edu.au.
It can also be used to burn any of the Microsoft titles under the schools MSDNAA https://mirror.cse.unsw.edu.au/pub/MSDNAA/cdindex.html.
For the MSDNAA discs you will need to supply a disc number. This is the "Disc Part No." column from the MSDNAA link above (for example it takes the form X13-97868 - for visual studion 2008 express edition).
Please note that some disc images are cdroms whilst others are DVDs (both dual and single layer).
It should also be noted that currently only the imac lab machines have dual layer burners.
