Everything CSE hosts is subject to the university's IT Policies.

Hosting provided by CSE may be subject to explicit approval by the University.

Website Hosting - on CSE servers with default URLs

Any files in the public\_html folder of your CSE home directory are automatically made available on the web.

They can be found either under www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~username/ or username.web.cse.unsw.edu.au - substituting username with your zID.

For special projects, we can create a separate account with a friendlier, more relevant username.

Please note that this does not include email hosting.

Other hosting services

All other hosting services are considered on a case-by-case basis, and student requests will need the support of their supervisor.

Email System Support if you need any of the following:

• General Hosting - running your own webserver at CSE
• Virtual Hosts - having CSE servers act as a separate domain (e.g. www.myproject.org).
• DNS Hosting - Delegating your domain to be run by CSE DNS servers.
