This list is designed to be used in conjunction with the school's Guideline for provision of Standard Computer Equipment.

The list represents a range of well specified computers that the School will provide to its academics and researchers.

In compiling this list, the School has leveraged savings made by the University in negotiating preferred pricing on specific configurations with its suppliers.

Standard Systems

The School provides funding for a standard desktop for HDR students.

Under certain circumstances, with Supervisor and School Manager approval, a request for a laptop with a custom specification may be considered. This may require an additional funding source.

All CSE Standard Equipment remains the property of CSE and supported for the life of the warranty. Upon completion of a student research program, hardware will be reviewed in line with the school's end-of-life guideline. In the event of termination or withdrawal from a research program, hardware is recovered for re-allocation by the school.
