Vina cluster

The Vina Cluster

The vina cluster is a collection of 20 machines. Each machine has the following specs:
  • 2.8GHz Pentium 4 CPU
  • 1GB RAM
Manuel Chakravarty is the person generally responsible for the cluster, as it is largely used in the COMPNNNN - Distributed Systems subject. The vina cluster is essentially a virtual, remote lab. You can login (using SSH) to any of the machines vina00 through vina19. Use of this cluster is for teaching and research exclusively. It is a resource shared among a fair sized group of people. Try to avoid running simulations on this cluster unless that is why you were given access. Tutors are given access primarily to help with automarking of assignments.
