How to use Bookterms
Bookterms are workstations dedicated to the booking system. There are a couple in each lab precinct although you might have to look around a little; for example the Mech Eng Undercroft bookterms are in the K17 lobby near the School Office counter, rather than near the bugle and pipe lab doors. Login sessions on the bookterms are limited to 5 minutes as they are intended for students who want to hastily make/cancel a booking rather than do work.When you log into a bookterm it puts you directly into a book session so you will get a > prompt rather than the usual %, and it will expect you to enter booking commands. If you are not familiar with book syntax you can see what commands are available by typing help, then help <command> for more details on a particular command.
You can use the bookterms to do quick tasks such as check your email by typing shell at the > prompt which will start a login shell.
